the vohimana reserve is home to 11 species of lemurs, 70 species of frogs and 90 species of birds.

 

Walking through the forest, you could meet the famous Indri Indri, the tallest lemur of Madagascar or his tiny nocturnal cousin the Microcebus Rufus. You could also come across several Hapalemurs ou Bamboo Lemur up in the trees like the Beccariophoenix madagascariensis, a rare variety of palm tree.
For those paying close attention, you will be rewarded by the sight of the Calumna Gallus, a very rare chameleon that lives only in this part of the island.
